The people’s mandate has been restored as Hon Sunday Aghedo was sworn into office at the Edo State House of Assembly.

 

Today, the 7th day of February 2024, Hon Sunday Aghedo was officially sworn in and took his Oat of office at the Edo State House of Assembly complex in Benin City at exactly 10:16 am today.

The Speaker, Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, stated that Hon Sunday Aghedo is now a member of the 8th Assembly, and that the hallowed chambers is not for politicking but for service to the people.
Hon Sunday Aghedo took his oath of Office and appended his signature on same. The Speaker congratulated him and he took his rightful seat in the hallowed chambers.

Party faithfuls and Officials from Ovia South-west were present at the swearing-in ceremony and they were elated as ceremony went on without hitches. Some people who spoke to SRTV correspondents said that they have renewed hope in the judiciary as this swearing -in ceremony proves that the will of the people will always prevail.

In an interview, Hon. Sunday Aghedo who is not a new comer to the Edo State House of Assembly, re-affirmed his readiness and capability to serve the good people of Ovia South-west.
